An intensive program is not therapy rushed. It is therapy front-loaded. Instead of spreading the work across months of weekly sessions, this program condenses treatment into two focused weeks of concentrated ERP and ACT work. You come in ready to work and you leave with skills, clarity, and a personalized workbook that is entirely yours to keep.
This is especially right for you if you are facing a specific window of time, a transition, a deadline, a life moment, and you want to work on this in a more concentrated way. Or you simply do not want to wait six months to feel like yourself again.
This program is not for everyone. But for the right person it is the most concentrated path to lasting change.
Most intensive programs in New York City are group-based. You join a cohort, you wait for the next start date, and you do your exposure work alongside strangers on a fixed schedule.
This is not that.
Every session is one-on-one. Just you and me. No group, no cohort, no waiting for the next cycle to begin. We start when you are ready and we build everything around your specific OCD and anxiety loop, your specific goals, and what you are most motivated to get back to.
You also leave with something most intensive programs do not offer. A personalized clinical workbook you build throughout the program. It is not a generic handout. It is a clinical tool you build and complete throughout our time together. During our sessions, you will use the workbook to map your specific anxiety loop, your exposure hierarchy, your imaginal exposure scripts, and your exposure debriefs. You keep the workbook after the program ends and you can return to it whenever you need to.
One specialist. Two weeks. A workbook that is entirely yours.
HOW THE PROGRAM IS STRUCTURED
Before we begin the intensive work we spend three hours together in a comprehensive intake. We go through your symptom history, administer the Y-BOCS to assess OCD severity, complete the Y-BOCS checklist to make sure we have captured every presentation, and begin building your exposure hierarchy. We also introduce psychoeducation, motivators, values clarification, and how to use your workbook. You leave the intake with homework and a clear picture of what the next two weeks will look like.
This is the core of the program. Each session is three hours of concentrated ERP and ACT work. We review your homework, debrief your spontaneous exposures, do in-session exposures together, and build your skills progressively. I always start where you are most motivated to work and we move at a pace that challenges you without overwhelming you. Everything we do is data. If something feels like too much we adjust. If you are ready to push further we push.
The final session is not a wrap-up. It is still clinical work. We continue exposure work, review everything you have learned, assess your symptoms formally, and map out your next steps together. You leave with a maintenance plan, a clear picture of where you started and how far you have come, and a workbook that documents all of it.
One week after the program ends, we meet for a follow-up session to assess how you are maintaining your progress, troubleshoot anything that has come up, and decide whether ongoing individual therapy makes sense for you.

The workbook is included in the intensive program and it is one of the things that sets this program apart.
The workbook is a clinical tool you build and complete throughout our time together. Every section is yours specifically, built from your history, your presentations, your goals, and your exposures. Your symptom tracking, your anxiety loop maps, your exposure hierarchy, your imaginal exposure scripts, your debrief notes, all of it is documented in one place.
After the program ends, the workbook is yours to keep. When you experience anxiety loops in the future, you have a clinical resource that documents your specific patterns and how you interrupted them. That is not something you can download. That is something you build.
Weekly therapy is right for most people. It gives you time to practice skills between sessions, build momentum gradually, and integrate the work into your daily life over months.
An intensive is right for you if you want to make that progress in two weeks instead.
The clinical approach is identical. ERP and ACT delivered by the same specialist, grounded in the same evidence base. The difference is pace, depth, and concentration. In two weeks of intensive work, you will cover ground that would typically take months of weekly therapy. That is not a shortcut. That is a different structure built for a different need.
Not ready for the full program, but want to go deeper than a standard session? An Intensive Session is a standalone three-hour appointment built around your specific OCD or anxiety presentation. No program commitment required.
An Intensive Session is right for you if you want to do a deep dive on a specific issue, you are a current therapy client who wants to accelerate progress on one area, you want to experience intensive work before committing to the full program, or you are facing something specific and need more than 53 minutes to work through it.
Sessions are collaborative, purposeful, and built entirely around what you want to accomplish in those three hours. We will map the loop, build skills, and do exposure work together.

Yes. The Intensive Program and Intensive Session are available to both current and new clients. If you are already working with me in weekly therapy, we can discuss whether an intensive makes sense as an accelerated phase of your treatment.
No. The intensive is built around ERP and ACT, which are effective for numerous anxiety presentations. What matters is that you recognize anxiety has taken over your life and decisions, and you are ready to do the work.
Yes. All sessions are virtual. You will need a private space with reliable internet for each session. Because sessions are virtual, you can complete exposures in your home or the specific spaces where your OCD or anxiety is hardest to manage. That is actually a clinical advantage. The work happens where the loop is most active.
Fill out the contact form. I will send you a screener and we can discuss whether the Intensive Program or Intensive Session is the right fit for you on a consultation call.
